Nice staff. I ate alone at the bar- On a Wednesday at 6pm - the place was dead... Bread came about after 20 mins Blue Cheese Wedge: came in 40 mins Boring - 99% was romaine lettuce- the rest I missed. No shit, about a tablespoon of dressing. saw the avocado, & cherry red tomatoes... Felt like I grabbed a romaine husk out of my refrigerator and dipped in some dressing. About that time, Alma, Ida, Minnie, Mildred, Olive, Ruby, Fred, Gertrude, Bertha, Ronald, Irene, Eda, Agnes, Eula, Fran, Gertie, Hattie, Helga, Mattie, Opal, Rosco, Tillie and Vern came in to eat - my God it tuned into a rest home! My Entrée: came in 1.4 hours. Brix Signature Boeuf Bourguignon: Reheated bourguignon, though you could tell they cooked the rest of the Entrée "big deal carrots" to order. Had to hunt down someone to pay my check? going on 2 hours Would I go back? Never..... Will I come back to Gig Harbor? maybe when I am 70

What a wonderful meal. White salmon with pesto fettuccine and asparagus simply Yummmmm. I had the chicken Diablo and it too was Great!! I would wholeheartedly recommend Brix 25 for Happy Hour and dinner if you are ever in Gig a Harbor.

I tried this restaurant based on their Yelp reviews, menu and proximity. Had I known it was a sister restaurant to Netshed No. 9 there is no question in my mind I would have already tried it out. The service was great from the second I walked in, the staff was on point with their suggestions and the meal could not have been more delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked and all the accentuating items on the plate worked perfectly with each other. I tried my best to incorporate all of it with each bite. I will definitely be suggesting this to friends as well as going back ASAP.

We were looking for a more "foodie" dinner on our vacation to balance out the bar food and fish & chips that were the norm in this vacation area. We read some good reviews and were ready for a fine dining experience. When first seated, we were pleased with the ambiance and the menu. This dinner turned into a completely drawn out disappointing and stressful experience. 2.5 hours and that's not because we were slow-dining! As a former restaurant manager, here are the issues: kitchen unable to keep up with orders and not able to even prepare the food as described on menu; totally understaffed for floor service. This is a management call! I have read several reviews since then that state the long wait and terrible service - fix it! With entrees at $30+, the food & service better be good. Grilled romaine was horrible, filet was dry and MISSING the sides it was supposed to come with! No waitress in sight to check on our entrees (which were terrible). The table next to us had a RAW fish dish (not supposed to be raw) and the waitress never came back - they left in a huff. The wheels totally came off at this restaurant. We will never go back.

We were seated with a half glass of complimentary champagne! GREAT way to start the romantic evening I say! We ended up buying a bottle of it to have with dinner. Mitch had the Beef Bourguignon which was fabulous but my black and bleu steak with garlic mashed potatoes and mushroom demi glaze was to die for.......enough said!

Loved it! Everything we had was delicious and interesting. We had the pear & cambazola crostini, the chili and teriyaki butters with the bread, the beef bourguignon, steak and egg pappardelle, tiramisu and gelato sampler (cream, strawberry and black garlic favors). Everything was delicious and we also enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. The glass of champagne was nice, but as someone who can't have champagne, I would have appreciated if they'd offered me an alternative. Overall, it was fabulous and I'm sure we will go back!

We went last weekend and it was worth the bridge toll!! It's in a cute area of the gig harbor waterfront so you can take a stroll before or after dinner. We called as we were driving on a Saturday night and they were booked. However they said they could squeeze us in for a 7:15 table. We were seated promptly and the champagne was a great touch. Everything we ordered was delicious! We will be back soon!!

I was feeling kind of negative about the food scene in Tacoma and some other places outside of the city. I realized though the quality of the food often improves greatly if you leave Tacoma. I have been over to Gig Harbor enough times that most of the restaurants we frequent over there are usually very good! Brix is one of those restaurants. Yes, it is a bit on the spendy side but the food is top notch! I decided to splurge and got a steak with mashed potatoes and some veggies. I hardly ever get steak but it just sounded right! The steak was fantastic as well as everything else, simply marvelous! For dessert I got three kinds of sherbet. I got a Chocolate Ghost Pepper flavor, Vanilla Cola and a raspberry. All three were simply amazing beyond belief! There are some great perks to coming here too! You will get a complimentary glass of wine (at least when I was here that is what I was given) and at the end of the meal a secret gift receipt in an envelope which is to be opened after a select date. You cannot open it yourself, the server on your next visit does. It could be anything from fifteen bucks to your entire meal being paid and then some! That is some mighty fine motivation to come back to!

This is the best restaurant in Gig Harbor! Katie, the owner, is so attentive and sweet. I felt like like I was in the movie Good Fellas. She had the staff grab us a table and chairs from the other side of the restaurant and set up a spot for us to dine! Unbelievable service. I'm shocked that this isn't the #1 place in Gig Harbor or all of Pierce County. The food will definitely be appreciated by those of us who love to cook and appreciate food of a caliber that is virtually nonexistent in this area.

The service was terrible. Never Again! Waitress took our order, busboy served our appetizer with wine and cocktail we waited at least half hour for salad it never came My husband asked if they forgot us as other people that came after us were eating. We paid for our cocktail and appetizer and left. Never, Never again!

We love this place. Parking is always a piece of cake, the food is very good, and the menu changes regularly which is great. And the servers to a memorably great job every time. Not too loud either. Easily the best place for dinner in Gig Harbor for food quality and ambiance.

So here's the thing, they definitely hooked us up for the whole "hey we're having a business dinner, someplace conducive to conversation would be excellent" thing. Couldn't have asked for better...with that. Here's where it could have been better: 1.) you lost out on at least two bottles of wine because you guys were too cheap to put another half glass of that cheap ass champagne in front of me...lemme splain' I got there first well ahead of the main group to insure the table was good...they give you a half glass of complimentary champagne when you arrive. (plastic 'cork' class) Since I had arrived well before the party I got mine early. When the party arrived, everyone but me got a glass...since the guy paying the bill was trying to be extremely polite, he noticed I was not drinking, and assumed I did not imbibe, therefore he did not order any wine...honestly it probably would have been more than the bill for the food...I'm just saying, we like wine, and we like finer wines... 2.) or 'your second mistake'. You know it's a business dinner, so interruptions by staff should be kept to a minimum....just going to put this right on out there, Fail. 3.) When bringing the appetizer(s) to the table, please remember that when two of the same type of your very very small appetizers are ordered for 5 people, bringing them one at a time, and having to be reminded...twice...to bring out the second one ensures only one thing...that the first one is cold by the time the second one gets out there...and with those tiny little portions it's not like anyone working on being polite is going to scoop in there in front of 4 other people when there's not enough...and by the way...did I mention cold... 4.) when charging me upwards of 40 dollars for a piece of Sturgeon, I expect said Sturgeon to be a.) served at the same time as everyone else...without having to be asked b.) that said Sturgeon is not going to be horribly overcooked....seriously you're directly across the street from Puget Sound and you serve sea food...what your 'chef' did to that fish makes me think he should stick to beef. c.) that if you have forgotten to put in my order or bring it...guessing by the temperature it was served at, it was the latter...you would fetch said meal with all possible alacrity (particularly understanding that this is a business dinner and that long pauses can be awkward for the company... let alone a single person not having their meal...) d.) the portions were abysmally small. 5.) acknowledging your mistakes with more than the cursory "oh sorry about that" In short, while the atmosphere is inspiring, and the food (what there is of it, and despite the serving temperature) is quite delicious...to be specific however I am not talking about that piece of jerky you called Sturgeon... I cannot ever see myself bringing another potential client there...ever. The atmosphere for a business dinner is every bit as important as what is being discussed. Knowing how to serve business diners is different from servicing other populations of diners. There is an art to it. I did not experience that art at Brix 25.

My wonderful neighbors invited us to dinner about a month ago. We were in total, a party of 8. The service was so slow that we found ourselves a few times, all looking at each other because we were all obviously thinking the same thing. And that was, "Where is our food and why is it taking so long?" I truly thought the kitchen had a serious operational issue. We have been at this restaurant several times throughout several years, since 2007. I was truly shocked at how slow service was and especially how no one from the wait staff to management to the owners, approached our table to explain the delay. Obviously, a party of 8 ordering everything from wine, appetizers, salad, entrees and dessert would generate a large check. However, no one seemed to care how long we had to wait to eat dinner. Shameful.

This place was wonderful! My fiancé made reservations and brought me here for Valentine's Day dinner... and I'm SO glad he did! We both loved every minute of it, from the initial greeting with 2 glasses of complementary champagne (which they gladly exchanged for Sparkling Cider since neither of us drink) to the delectable desserts. The service was WONDERFUL and the bread... omg, the bread was amazing! It was served with 2 types of gourmet butters to spread on it, one was a garlic aeoli, the other was a chili pepper/lime... and they were both amazing! This was easily a $200 plus gourmet meal... and it was only a tad under $100 for both of us (plus tip)! We will definitely be back! Here's what we both enjoyed: Salads: Grilled Romaine Caesar: smoked salmon caesar dressing, parmesan croutons, shaved grana padana cheese Blue Cheese Wedge: applewood smoked bacon, crisp romaine, fresh avocado, & cherry red tomatoes, blue cheese dressing, blue cheese crumbles and a cider vinaigrette Entrées: Brix Signature Boeuf Bourguignon: tender morsels of braised beef , roasted cipollini onions, crimini mushrooms, carrots, bacon, rich burgundy sauce, yukon gold mashed potatoes Pan Roasted Chicken: boneless half chicken, dijon & herb marinated, served with crisp fingerling potatoes and root vegetables, finished with a honey-dijon sauce Desserts: "Not Your Italian Grandma's" Tiramisu: griddled lady fingers, layered with french butter cream, topped with chantilly and a tableside pour of coffee liqueur & coffee sauce Swiss Carrot Cake: olive oil-almond flour cake, whipped cream cheese schlag, topped with french butter cream & candied carrots, served with house made buttermilk gelato

A wonderful evening to finish a birthday week celebration. The only reason(s) not five stars was due to several "I'm sorry we're out of that"and this was a 7:00 reservation. The house cabernet was gone before we got there. Only one glass of the house chardonnay. And a warning when we ordered that the mussels were all gone.. Anyway, now the good news. We had a blue cheese wedge salad and a charred romaine salad, both excellent. Entree for both of us was the boef burguignon served over a bed of perfectly mashed Yukon gold potatoes. To finish we shared a wonderful chocolate-coffee sauce over vanilla bean gelato. Still glad we went and yes we'll go back.

Last night at Brix 25. Looking forward to an evening of exciting eating. Comforting and classy environment . unfortunately the service and food was sadly lacking. Started with an order of the poached pear and camboza on crustini. Three small crustini with tasty pear chutney. Cheese and hazelnuts as described on menu were hard to find. We ordered Chardonnay prior to the meal. We were served the crustini and finished it in a flash while we waited for the wine. We waited for the wine.... We ordered the curried thai mussels, scallops, soup and panzanella salad. The wine finally arrived along with the mussels and soup. Mussels were tasty. Soup was chicken broth with one ravioli served luke-warm. "Market price" for broth and 1 ravioli was $10. Individual who ordered the scallops was not served. She did not receive meal until we asked for it to be served. Excuse was given that they didn't know that appetizer was main meal(?): 10-12 Small bay scallops with no sauce no flavor and cold were finally served. Salad was served last. The Panzanella was a stack of dry bread with slice of tomato and thick cheese. No flavor at all. In a effort to be original, all traditional look and taste of classic italian salad was lost. Overall it was an expensive failure of a meal. And we heard the waitress telling a table next to us about the evening's specials. We had no clue. Who knows it might, no, it had to be better than what we had. The service was terrible from the failure to bring wine before the appetizer to failure to serve all customers their meal to clearing only one plate when we were all finished. Two of us sat there with empty plates and waited and waited until waitress finally came over to ask us about dessert. Second waitress to help us apologized at end of meal and comped the scallops. I cannot imagine giving this place another try.

We went there for a 40th birthday dinner. Most of our dining companions had never been there and my husband and I talked it up (based on our previous experiences - which are few and far between given that we live on the other side of the bridge). But, it was a disappointment. I thought the service was good (it's hard to wait on a table of 10), but the others thought it was slow. Sadly, the food was such a disappointment. I don't know what has happened, but it was so much of a disappointment that it eclipsed our positive experiences and we will likely not be back. Sad, I have liked Brix so much in the past...

This was one of the best meals I have ever had. My husband and I went here with friends who went to Brix 25 on their honeymoon (and who had been raving about it for over a year). My expectations were high, and I was not disappointed. I can say awesome things about all aspects of the meal, but the standout of the evening was my steak and my husband's chicken. I have never had a more flavorful steak, and the chicken that I had from my husband's plate somehow melted in your mouth. Every bite of everything was delicious, and I really appreciated how balanced the flavors were. The other thing to note is that this place takes their wine selection as seriously as their food. You can't go wrong here, and our server (who was great), made excellent wine recommendations. I can't wait to go here again.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a nice dinner out after a long work week - and boy did we choose the right place! We made reservations, and the restaurant was running a little behind. When we checked in and found out it would be "a few minutes," the hostess (who was maybe a manager) brought us Champagne Flutes to help make up for the wait. The service was professional, and what I would expect from a restaurant of this quality, and the busser/expo (yes the busser/expo!) made a BIG impression on us. Riley was friendly, funny, and attentive. He made us laugh several times, and overall contributed greatly to what was a fun, awesome experience. Food - not much to say besides everything lived up to expectations and more. The lamb meatballs were phenomenal, the char and the halibut (special) were perfectly cooked, and I've never had as good a focaccia bread in my life. I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice date night spot.

Quiet local place with a fancy spin. The brother and I decided to drive down to Gig Harbor since we had a 2 for 1 entree deal. The beef bourginon was tender and flavorful though a small portion for a steep price. The seared scallops and cream tomato risotto with langoustines was very flavorful. The creamy risotto was offset with the pickled acidity of the langoustines and the delicate scallop meat. The rice was a tad underdone and though the scallops weren't overcooked, they also didn't have that melt-in-mouth quality I look for in seared scallops. All in all, a decent venue for an upscale meal, but not worth seeking out unless you're in the area.

Pretty pricey, but has great ambiance. Food is bit above average; for the money, it lacks value. Great for couples on a romantic evening out. Not good for families with children.

Finally, a place in the peninsula that knows what they are doing (and doing it well). I usually don't write a review on a first visit. However, everything from the PNW-focused wine list, to the down-to-earth service, and sauce Bordelaise made from scratch exceeded my expectations.

Ate T'giving dinner at Brix 25. Service was attentive and swift. We were served a delicious glass of champagne to start. The third member of our party was stuck in traffic on the Interstate 5, but we never uncomfortable or rushed. Our party finally decided to turn around and go home, rather than be later, so we went ahead and ordered our dinner which was delicious. We will definitely return in the future.

I would say this is one of the nicer restaurants in gig harbor. when you walk in you're greeted with a glass of sparkling wine. the service is very good. the server we had knew the menu and was very attentive and personable. the appetizers are unique and not overly filling, we shared the king crab appetizer with cumber avocado salad, I don't normally like crab, but this was good. its a small portion so don't plan on filling up on appetizers. the warmed arugula salad was very flavorful. also, our server substituted (at our request) goat cheese on the blue cheese beet salad. the beef Bourguignon sauce is melt in your mouth savory. the flat iron steak is a small portion but comes with their house made mac and cheese which I couldn't finish. The sauce that comes with the flat iron steak really brought out the flavor of the beef. I would recommend both of the entrees. The atmosphere is on the quiet/romantic side, of course until the rude loud mouth across the room gets on his cell phone to do business, other than that it's normally on the quiet side with light music. when we left around 7 on a Friday evening it was nearly full, so I would recommend a reservation. It can be on the pricey side, but places like this you go for the flavors and the experience, for two of us with a bottle of wine, after tip it was $230.

1 star off for the service which was a little slow but not excessively so. Hey, you're in Gig Harbor, what else you gonna do? At least slow down and enjoy the meal. I was quite surprised when we were greeted with a small glass of sparkling wine (aka "champagne"). We sat outside. Bread was decent. NOTE: the tomato butter for the bread was ridiculously good. And I mean ridiculous. I usually try to limit my carbs but could not help but grab more and more bread and slather this stuff on it. The olive butter was decent. For apps, I had the clams and mussels, a fairly large serving which I devoured. Nice touch with the crumbled sausage. I don't want to get anyone in trouble but in retrospect, it's possible our server undercharged us. Let's just say for what I paid, it was a great deal. However, the other stuff was accurate so maybe it was on sale or something. I couldn't help but get the boeuf bourguignon. Beef stew, what's not to like? It was delicious. Tasty sauce, lovely mushrooms, rich beef, nice portion. I went with this since I got my seafood fill already, in case you run across the same dilemma. My wife got the pan roasted chicken. Can't tell you much about it since I didn't try it but she liked it. No desserts, too full. All in all, a wonderful meal with very nice staff. Would probably give 4.5 stars. If you're in the area and looking for somewhere nice to eat, I can't imagine there are much better places around the Gig. I made Sat night reservations around noon on Saturday.

Intimate setting, great service, very nice food. I am definitely a fan. Started with a poached pear & cambozola bruschetta (including balsamic-honey poached pear chutney). Very tasty. I moved on to an arugula salad, and then to their "signature" boeuf bourguignon. I loved it. I joined some friends for dinner, and the person who lived in Gig and made the reservations is a fan of the slab-o-meat, heart-attack-on-a-plate kind of restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised that Brix 25 understands that often less is more, and the portions were perfect Of course we paired wine with the meal and I had coffee afterward. Can they move to Olympia?

Definitely a 5 star restaurant! The menu is amazing and concentrates on the perfection of a short list of entrées. Perfection is exactly what they achieve! My favorite of the night was the sweet potato soup! The food is unique and will please your palate. I would highly recommend dining here. The service was top notch, with attention to every detail and the wait staff was knowledgeable!

This is the second visit for me and it never disappoints! The menu is ever evolving with seasonal specials but they do hold on to favorites. Today I had the Pork Belly and it was Amazing! Served with fried rice and a fried egg. Great Asian spin put on this dish!

I'm a fan of their Happy Hour. It's a great, quiet place to meet friends, start with a glass of champagne (handed to you as you sit down), followed by one of Katie's fabulous cocktails (Black Cherry Manhattan is my fav), topped with a scrumptious bite to eat. All this and you don't break the bank. Love it.

My husband and I go out for fine dining very frequently, so the food was average to us. We were greeted with complimentary glasses of champagne, which were delicious! We had clams and ahi tuna for our appetizers. The clams were delicious! As for the ahi tuna, it just didn't seem very fresh. For my entree I had the lamb osso bucco, which was tasty, but a bit dry. My husband had the blackened halibut, which he liked, but was a tad overcooked. For dessert we had the tiramisu, which tasted like thin pancakes with cream. We also had some sort of chocolate peanut butter torte, which was okay. On the bright side, they had excellent wines! I would go back again just because the service and the staff were so awesome!

  • Justin Z.

We would give more stars if possible. Owner Katie took her time to personally visit us several times to ensure we were happy with everything. Service was spot on and the food was what we have been searching for in Gig Harbor. Not overdone, rather a combination of Classic French and Italian recipes that are worth going back for. The pace was slow and consistent with a sophisticated atmosphere.

Great little local place. Quiet, intimate setting with a rustic, modern, and industrial feel. The bar area also looks like a great place to have drinks with friends. On the higher price point range but typical for food this "gourmet" in our area. Wine list was so extensive!!! Servers were very nice and attentive. The only reason for my 4 star rating was that it was mentioned to us that since we went straight to entrees after drinks that we may have a wait as they were busy. (They weren't). However, the food arrived promptly and was delicious.

Excellent local restaurant! Made reservations for our 7th Anniversary based solely on the reviews due to being new to the area and we were both pleasantly surprised! We chose to order off their main menu, however, they did have a special menu on Tuesday's (can't remember what they called it). The setting was intimate and we had a corner table kind of by ourselves, and the waitress was extremely attentive. We will definitely will be back!

Hey, it is fine dining in Gig Harbor. Hard to complain. Prices are $22-35 for an entree. Not including drinks, salad or appetizers.

This is our go to place in Gig Harbor and always our place for special family dinners! Food and service is exceptional. My recommendation is if you aren't satisfied to let them know because this is a place they want you to leave happy. Drinks are always scrumptious and wine selections exceptional. Food offerings are inventive and always delicious. Smaller dining room so be sure to call for a reservation. If you find it a bit robust on the noise, probably because other diners are having a wonderful experience!

We had Sunday evening dinner for 4 adults. We were greeted with sparkling wine at the table. Two of the guest do not drink alcohol ,so a substitute "Apple juice" was served . The food was "just ok" truly nothing to brag about...on all dishes. Dishes at table were' Beef Bourgeon" Chicken " Halibut" & flat iron steak " All were truly just OK...nothing special about any of the food dishes presented . A bottle of wine order and was asked to be decanted , other wise the cheapness of the wine was showing thru, at $42 bottle .... We started with. Salad . How can you mess a wedge salad up.... Bruschetta which was good. Mussels clam mix , not worth the effort, clams so very , very small , mussels ok. Overall this was a disappointment dish. Service was pleasant & efficient . Another point which may not have been brought up before. I use hearing aids....the acoustics Are Awful in this building. The noise level was truly deafening..... I tried all settings my Aids & finally pulled them out. The others I was dining with have No such hearing problems BUT the noise level was so loud each person commented on if. Do not think I will return.

Decided to try something new for our anniversary, read reviews and thought would be a good choice. Service was good. Food not so much, stake was cold and under cooked (overheard others complaining of same issue). Lamb was a bit better but still unimpressed for a higher end restaurant. Overall - disappointed, mediocre, overpriced, will not return or recommend.

Hands down the best meal we have had in years! Wife had pork chops and I had the beef bourguignon. While the chops were good, I preferred the beef b. by far. The meat was so tender and the sauce was ridiculously tasty. We topped it off with creme brulee. Also thought the service was great too. Attentive, but not too in your face. Can't wait to go back. Writing this is makin me hungry :).

A very positive dining experience... I was interviewing a potential employee who was in town from the mid west who was not a seafood lover. I did a little looking around on Yelp and made the choice to dine. We were met at the door with a big smile and a hardy hello which was the tone of the entire experience from our server to the high school student who popped out of no where occasionally to fill our water glasses and replace our silverware. Unknowingly, we were there on a prix fixe evening- Tuesday- and had some choices salad, entree, and dessert for $25. I chose a grilled peach salad that was a little difficult to chase around plate... followed by the BOEUF BOURGUIGNON (I had visions of Julia Child as each morsel danced in my mouth) and a cheesecake that could have been made in New Year except it was perfectly round. It is really a unique high end place in the area. I was very surprised. I will be back...

This is my wife and mines favorite place to eat dinner! It's Gig Harbors best! Food quality is alway amazing and service is always outstanding! You can really tell the love that is put into every item they serve! The half chicken is my favorite, my wife's is the pork chop! We've eaten almost everything on the menu at least once and have honestly never been disappointed! Give this place a try you will not be disappointed!!!

While on a weekend trip up from Portland, we had the good fortune of finding this wonderful local restaurant. Food was delicious, service was awesome, and the overall experience felt special. We started with a cambozola pear bruschetta, which was a nice balance of crisp bread, creamy savory cheese, and tangy chutney. This paired well with the complimentary glasses of sparkling wine that they greeted us with (nice!), and then we moved on to cocktails, a gin martini for my partner and a Sazerac for me. Both were well-executed and tasty. For our entrees, my partner had a smoked mozzarella ravioli with red peppers in a wonderful bolognese sauce. Seriously great layering of flavors. I had the mushroom soup du jour, served at table side in a bowl with an herbed biscuit, and the green salad, a perfectly dressed mix of greens, butternut squash crisps, pomegranate seeds, pecans, and I think a pecorino cheese. We paired a 2007 Dumas Station Cabernet Sauvignon with the entrees. I will be dreaming about that mushroom soup and the salad. They were flawless and wonderful. We were too full for dessert, but when our fabulous server brought the bill, she also brought us a piece of tiramisu to take back to our hotel for later. (And by the way, that was really delicious too!) We had a really nice time and a memorable meal for the affordable price of ~$140, including tax. I highly recommend this place and am glad we found it!

Excellent service, great ambience and food was delicious, however what kept me from giving them 5 stars was the fact my salmon special was served very tough almost inedible, had to send it back for another plate of the same which was perfect the second time. Excellent NW specific wine list.

Some of the best food I've had in years, in all my travels internationally and nationally. Who knew? Fantastic wine list, and really appreciated the attention to detail. Way to go, Gig Harbor!

Came here for the first time with J for a work function. We've since been back twice and it is becoming one of our favorite date night dinners. I highly recommend their Boeuf Bourguignon - it's so so so good; I could keep eating it forever. Last time, I asked them to substitute the polenta for the mashed potatoes, and this made it even better still. Service here is very good. The woman who has been our waitress both times is professional and personable. I especially like the glass of champagne that you get just for showing up - a good start to a tasty dinner. The only negative I can think of is that the portions are not very generous. I always wish that they were just slightly bigger because the food is so dang good!

I love this restaurant. They have good food that is reasonably priced for the quality. They have a great happy hour and friendly staff. I love that they give you a glass of bubbly as soon as you sit down. I love that my parents are "regulars" and whenever I go for a drink with them the waitstaff always remember them and the things they've talked about. The bar food is excellent and they will adjust the portions for the amount of people (example: if I go with my parents and we order something like the sliders, which have 2 normally, they will bring 3 for easier sharing). The drinks are great and the menu changes frequently. I would put the uniqueness of drink second only to 1022 S., which has the best cocktails in the south sound. Excellent food and drinks, reasonable prices (this included the restaurant part, though I mostly touched on HH here), and friendly staff.

Great food and service. The only downside is that this restaurant doesn't have the water view that some in the area have. Great for a gloomy day when you don't care about the view and are in the mood for some delicious food.

The wife and I went to Brix 25 for our anniversary after living in Gig Harbor for almost 5 years. We were excited not only because of all the good reviews Brix gets but because they are local. I'm giving Brix only 2 stars because of the food not the service. The good first: the food was good though not outstanding. Especially for the price of their menu. But there was nothing wrong with the food until we got to dessert. Our starters were well done though the polenta with the Tiger Shrimp was more gritty than creamy. My wife had the special, which was better. We then moved to the soup/salad course and these were about what you would expect. The main courses were the Flat Iron Steak and the special Trout. I had the steak and it was cooked perfectly while the wife had the trout and part of the dish the stuffing was cold. Finally the dessert, she had a mint berry trifle and I had Chai Creme Brûlée. Neither were well executed. The truffle was heavy and tasteless while the Creme Brûlée 's custard had not set but was runny. Now for the really bad part, the service. The waiter and her helper were nice though distracted although it is nice to have the owner also coming by the table. Too often though our glasses were not topped off with the bottle of wine we bought and between seating us and taking our order took a very long time (about 15 minutes). We had to wait another 15 minutes after finishing to get our check. This shouldn't happen in a white linen restaurant. 2 Stars with possibilities Also, I should mention the ambiance. It can get noisy in the restaurant probably because of the brick wall and low ceiling but we found it difficult to converse without yelling during the meal.

I met up with some good friends and did some wine tasting at the wine bar. If you haven't ever tried Washington Wine this is the place to do it. When you think Sangiovese raise your hand if you think Washington? If you did your lying. I tried a Sangiovese from Duck Pond Cellars, yes the same Duck Pond based in Oregon but it makes the Sangiovese from grapes in Eastern Washington's AVA. Surprisingly one of the best tasting Sangioveses I've tried around the world. I tried telling my winery buddies in Napa this and they almost snarled at me. I usually snarl at Washington wines as well but Brix 25 did a great job of introducing unique blends and variations of good wine to me from all over the Northwest.

Food was good. Service was so so. The person working our table knew very little about the wine list nor made an effort to find answers to any the questions we asked. She was darn slow as well. We have been here many times and the food is usually quite good but the service just keeps going down. I doubt we will be back for awhile.

I would give them one star if the staff wasn't so friendly. A party of 4 came here on a Thursday night and it took almost 2 hours for us to finish our meal. Keep in mind the restaurant was not overflowing. At first I thought the champagne was special but apparently that is the norm for this restaurant. I would gladly give back the champagne to get 30 minutes of my life back. It took SO LONG for them to take our orders, from the drink orders to the dessert. We had a server, a somolier, and a dish person .... why is it taking so long?!?!? There is a sit-down dinner, and there is excessive wait times to eat. I mean it took about 40 minutes before we even got bread ... and that came before my starter soup! Unless they are killing cows out back and fishing in the harbor for the halibut, it just isn't acceptable. The food isn't to die for to justify the wait. Don't come here if you are hungry. If you have an eternity to burn, though, stop by.

Really great. Went for our anniversary. We are early birds so had the place ourselves. The welcome bubbly is very nice. Everything was well cooked and tasty. Service was great and well mixed cocktails. Overall a really great experience!

One of my favorite restaurants around - perfect for a peaceful relaxing dinner with the wife. Expect a cold glass of champagne upon being seated, either in the restaurant or the bar. The servers are warm and friendly, and knowledgeable about the many items on the menu. I would describe the food as "Northwest Cuisine", and one can expect to enjoy tastes that are uncommon and excellent in all phases of a dinner. For appetizers I stick the pear & gorgonzola bruschetta which tastes like candy. The sliders are also amazing if you're sitting in the bar. I've tended towards steak or fish for dinner, and have never been let down. Although we typically enjoy the staple banana split topped with carmelized brown sugar from a butane torch (impressive!), the last time we tried spicy ice cream, made from some Indian plant - incredible! REALLY enjoy this restaurant!

Brix 25 is always a great dining experience. Whether we're there for dinner or just to enjoy the Happy Hour, we are treated more like valued friends than mere patrons. This level of service, on top of the fabulous food makes it a favorite for me and my family. The crab cake is amazing and the charcuterie plate is one of my favorites.

The complimentary champagne started us off beautifully and set the tone for what was only the second perfect meal I've ever had. Just trust me and order this (preferably on a Tuesday when there's a $25 3-course set menu): Pear Bruschetta Grilled Caesar (Hubby) Fresh wild halibut (crusted with fennel, red pepper, asparagus, risotto, WOW) Black & Blue Steak (Double wow) Tiramisu (WOW) Baked chocolate (maybe the only thing I would substitute, but it was husband's anyway) All with the rhone white blend, which they topped off as dessert was delayed. The atmosphere was special and quiet. Just a perfect meal. Thank you, Brix! We will return.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Puget sound. My wife and I have been there 3 times total so far, and each time was as perfect as the last. Her favorite food (beef bourguignon) she orders every time, and I have tried a sturgeon dish, a pork dish, and this meat dish as well. Everything that I've tried was excellent in flavor and seasoning. I recommend that you get the ghost pepper ice cream for dessert as for an interesting combination of freeze and burn. In my experience the service was top notch as well. The server was very attentive, comedic, and engaging. It's great that she made jest of my dry humor (my wife possibly had some payoff going against me, I'm sure of it.) Anyway, it's always a good experience with the wait staff here for us. I almost forgot about the flavors of butter that they have. Every trip presents me with a new butter (radish, apricot, etc.) I normally don't eat bread, but I make it a point to indulge here.

My husband and I were wandering around Gig harbor on a beautiful, sunny Sunday. We had never heard of this place, it's not on the main drag, but it was charming from the outside, and there were sample menus outside to entice you! Our waitress was top notch. She brought us sparkling white wine, which we didn't expect. We had gorgeous red wines, delicious sliders, and amAZING desserts. My cheesecake was so fresh tasting and made with soft chevre cheese and something salty caramelized on top. It had only a few fresh berries, but they were PERFECT and flavorful. We loved sitting in the sun and admiring the landscaping and ethnic music.

First I will start off with the good stuff, my food was great, at least the couple of bites I got. My wife and I had heard great things about Brix 25. So we made a reservation for our anniversary. My wife is a vegetarian, so I checked and they assured me they could fix a special dish for her, since their menu is for carnivores. So we arrived and were immediately seated. Then we sat and sat and sat some more, probably 15 to 20 minutes before our server came by. She at least brought a small glass of wine, which we don't drink, but they graciously replaced it with sparkling cider. One plus for the overall mediocre service. If you are going for a quiet intimate dinner this is not your place. The place is small and the tables are very close together. Maybe it was just the night we were there, but most of the patrons were on there way to being inebriated and the place was very loud, to the point that my wife and I could hardly carry on a conversation. The selection of appetizers is good, and we enjoyed the one we ordered. After a good 30 minutes or more we finally placed our order. My wife was assured she would enjoy her meal. After another 30- 45 minutes our main course arrived. As I stated above my dish was great, what there was of it. I ordered the halibut and that's what I got, maybe a 6 oz fillet, with a couple of radish slices and a couple of mushrooms. My wife got a dish with about 4 asparagus spears and a small scoop of what she thinks was mashed potatoes. She stated it was tasteless. Needless to say we left hungry with a much lighter wallet (the prices are very high for the amount of food). I get that sometimes you pay for the presentation and ambiance, well not here. If you are not a vegetarian and all you want are tasty small portions and you have ear plugs, check it out. Anyway we ended up an another place for dessert.

Okay, I've been to a lot of "New American" restaurants in my day, and I've had really good, and really bad. This place is right in the middle. I had a Caesar Salad, which could have used just a touch more dressing, or a little balsamic glaze on it. It was grilled, which was a nice touch, but that's all that was really special about it. It wasn't great, but it also wasn't bad. I had their grilled pork loin with mashed potatoes. The potatoes were a little chunkier than I'd have liked. I prefer buttery-smooth, like champs style potatoes. But we're not in Europe. The one major complaint I had was if they're going to charge me $19 for an entree like this, it had better be a lot more sauce and they'd better use better mushrooms. There wasn't much sauce, it was clearly broken (separated) and they used button mushrooms. All in all, I could have made the same meal at home - and I have the skill to do so - but I preferred not to. If you like grilled food, come here! They even grilled the Pork Loin after they sliced it. Which is why it was overcooked. Sigh. Maybe my expectations are too high for Gig Harbor. I would have given them 2 stars had it not been for the free small glass of champagne after sitting down.

When you spend money on food you go to the grocery store or McDonald's. When you spend a weeks grocery money on an evening meal it had better be a great experience. Brix 25 delivers a unique experience and provides great staff and service as part of that experience. GREAT service, GREAT wine, decent food and good friends to share it with equals an outstanding experience.

We try and go to this wonderful little restaurant every time we are in the Pacific Northwest. We especially love Wednesdays, they have a great northwest wine selection with bottles at half price. This time, although the food was perfect, we missed having Katie (co-owner) behind the bar and in charge. We had reservations for four at 7 but got there early to have a cocktail and visit with Katie but she was doing a catering off site. We sat down at the bar and were pretty much ignored until we asked if we could have a cocktail! Three different people were behind the bar and the young woman who fixed my drink seemed very unsure. She left halfway thru to answer the phone and another staff person came and dumped out what she had mixed! The staff were sweet but we sure missed Katie! For dinner, two of us had the beef and bones, which was a filet served with bone marrow. Both loved it (and gave me only one small bite!). We also tried the octupus appetizer and found it interesting but not a keeper. I ordered a nice pinot (Rattler's Ridge I think) but when my guests went with steak, I also ordered the Cor Momentum which we had enjoyed previously based on Katie's recommendation. The waitress reported back that it was not available...although I had just spotted it in the wine shelf when I walked to the table! So we found it quickly. My wife had the mushroom bisque and although it was good, she said it was not great. I had the beef bourgeon (can't spell it) and of course that is their signature dish although I think it would be even better on a creamy polenta. We saved room for desert: a deep dish chocolate cake served with ice cream and a sticky bun creme brûlée. Both were great, although the chocolate cake and ice cream was fabulous and enough to satisfy four chocolate lovers! So, overall my guests really enjoyed the experience and felt the meal and wine were outstanding but the two of us "regulars" felt it rated only four stars due to the above issues. Hard to fault Katie for taking a night out so we will continue to support this outstanding restaurant.

Horrid. This was our go to place. Where my husband purposed to me. Our once a week special treat. When Jason left, we noticed changes..small things at first nothing too bothersome. But the treatment of their owner and her new staff on Thanksgiving 2011 left us so astounded that we have not been back, nor will we. The food was served an hour after it was ordered in a near empty restaurant. It was overcooked (filet mignons) and cold. It was sent back and "refired" . There is no way to resuscitate a piece of shoe leather that was to be a medium steak. It was represented even more well done. We asked for the manager. Two and a half hours after sitting down we were told that we could "leave and that there would be no charge". Unbelievable. So sorry to our poor guests that we had asked to spend Thanksgiving at our favorite restaurant. The service was rude and mostly absent, the food was inedible. The owner's attitude was disgustingly indifferent. We ended up in Safeway trying to put together a dinner at 10:00PM. Our dinner reservation had been for 6:15. Do yourselves a favor and go over to JW's or Mizu or over to GreenHouse any place would be better than what Brix has turned into.

It is OK and certainly one of the better places in Gig Harbor. Unfortunately, I've yet to find a place in this town that isn't overpriced for what you get. I realize that I'm a little spoiled coming from Portland but, come on, A meal that costs roughly $25 per person MORE than a meal at a place like Le Pigeon should at least be great, not just so so.

I took my wife here for her birthday and had a fabulous time. We were greeted warmly even though we were late for our reservation. Immediately after sitting down we were offered a tasting of wine which was good. For a starter we had the Poached Pear & Cambozola Bruschetta which was very good. The cambozola was a nice contrast to the sweetness of the poached pears. Next we shared their soup of the day which was a very brothy corn chowder. It was poured at our table over a bed of cilantro, shaved parmesan, & bacon. It was a very nice soup and even though we were expecting something more chowder like we were glad it wasn't heavy. For our main course I had the fish of the day. It was a nice piece of halibut over some greens with a nice sauce. It was a good dish but it was completely overshadowed by my wife's Boeuf Bourguignon. That dish had to be one of the top 10 dishes I had ever tasted. The beef was tender without being mush and the flavor was robust and complex. Even the potatoes were great. All together the dish was just awesome. For desert we had the Profiteroles which I must confess were a letdown. The pastries were kind of soggy and neither the filling or toppings were very sweet. We didn't want them to be over sweet but I would have been nice to end the meal on high note. That said we had a lovely evening and we will return.

Best restaurant in the area, hands down! The small but stylish restaurant is relatively sparse in decor but makes up for it with a phenomenal menu. Make sure you bring your appetite because you're going to want to try a plethora of their menu items. It's been about a month since I've been there but I'm still salivating at the thought of their creme-brulee topped chevre cheesecake. I'm counting down the days till my next visit...

I went to Brix 25 last night for the first time to celebrate our Valentines Day dinner since my Hubby has to work on Monday. It was amazing! I had the pork loin and my hubby had the steelhead. The wine list was fantastic and so was the service. It was a great atmosphere, I could actually talk to my hubby and not have to sream. It seems most restaurants today are so loud. But not this one. The service was impecible and I will definately return. For fine dining in the Harbor this is a must! You won't be disappointed.

This place is divine! You are greeted by your server with a glass of crisp, sparkling wine. Steak was cooked to perfection, and the halibut melted in your mouth. Service was impeccable. Leave the kids at home, this is a date night or dinner with the girls kinda place.

We enjoyed their Thanksgiving dinner this year. They served their regular menu but had a special Thanksgiving meal, with turkey, dressing, potatoes, squash, braised kale, and cranberry sauce. I thought an excellent meal...perfect portion (not the huge amount of food you usually eat at Thanksgiving). The braised kale was delicious...very flavorful with bits of dark turkey meat and garlic. The cranberry sauce was tart and sweet, as you would expect. For dessert, I decided against the pumpkin pie and instead tried the sorbet sampler...the chocolate ghost pepper sorbet was wonderful. However, not for the faint of heart...very spicy. Not at first, but it hit you soon. But great flavors. The rest of the menu looked very appetizing and we expect to go back soon. Oh, and the service was excellent.

I try not to pimp my friends on yelp. Bryce Lamb is an old, old friend. Really though, the last time we ever spent any time together was our freshman year of high school. That was 1984. I met up with Bryce again when he was the Chef at Tango in Seattle. I also had dinner at La Fermata where that restaurant has almost made Bremerton relevant. Brix 25 is awesome. But under my boy's watch (and it is no longer on the menu) the pork entree they used to feature was overcooked and dry. Everything else we had was fantastic. To make it relevant for you "foodies", Bryce can grill better than Flay, has the tourist wisdom of Bordain, and the only cooks on Top Chef that could compete with him are Harold from season 1 and perhaps Kevin Gillespie from this season. That being said, Brix still rules and the good thing about Bryce leaving to go cook in Spain is that the owner of Brix 25 is now the chef, which, to those of you that cannot add 1 plus 1, means the owner has a lot at stake. Order the Lamb Chops and a bottle of 2006 Maryhill Winery "Reserve" Zinfandel. thank you guys!

Brix 25 is about as good as it gets for fine dining in Gig Harbor, this far from Seattle. It's not quite on par with the finest restaurants in the big city to the north, but the food is consistently high quality and it has a truly excellent Washington wine list for all budgets. I'm relatively well acquainted with Washington wine, but I still manage to have something new and delicious here every time I come (unless I have a hankering for something I know & love). My favorite appetizer is usually their clam & mussels dish, which has a lovely broth that is a delicate mix of spicy & sweet, or the artisan cheese plate. All their salads are good. The entrees change frequently, but the fresh fish preparations (I've seen halibut more than anything else) are expertly done. The paella is a customer favorite, and is very good considering you can order it individually. In addition to fish & fowl, there are usually a couple of Italian-inspired dishes (seafood fettuccine in a light cream sauce, ravioli stuffed with mushrooms or cheese) and excellent meat -- usually the lamb shank and pork loin are my favorites, not least because I can pair them with an excellent Washington cab. The desserts are also very good -- my particular favorite is the seasonal fruit cobbler, especially good in summer with all the local fruit available. My only complaint is that the service can be amateurish at times -- in summer it feels like half the staff are Gig Harbor High students. But that's a nit -- this is the best place for upscale dining in the Harbor.

First time at 25, walked in on a Sunday night and were seated. It wasn't busy. My fiancé and I ordered drinks and the prawn app. Drinks were good, prawns were lacking taste and there were only three little guys! Bread arrived after the app and just before the main entre (timing). Main course was ok, meat was good, but that was pretty much all that was on the plate. I had the brix signature and my fiancé had the filet mignon. Just not worth the $$$.

Yum! The happy hour scallops on a heated rock were way better than novelty. The grilled romaine with smoked caesar dressing was fantastic. Fresh and smoky without fishy and a generous sprinkling of cheese. The sausage stuffed peppers were more subtle than i was anticipating but still really good. Now, the Beef Bourguignon is ridiculously good. Thomas Keller good. Sweet and savory all in a bite. It is incredible. Next up, balsamic and honey Crème brûlée. Hot damn. Who thought of this yummy wonder? I am giddy. I love food but rarely does it really satisfy. This did and still i wanted to eat more. I have to find a way to get back here. It is soooo good.

While I do love McD's, Taco Bell and hole in the wall taverns sometimes I like to get out to a more refined establishment. I can say without a doubt this is the best food in the Harbor since Marco's ;) Service was great, I went on a week night just before close and they made room for me. No one rushed me out as I lingered over the diner either. Food was excellent as was the suggested wine paring. I could do without the slightly pretentious presentation of everything but I love food that comes wrapped in paper so anything above that is "fancy" I had pork chops in a raspberry reduction of something or other, and some wonderful potato's. The potato's were so good I ate all of them leaving me short on the chops. However, this is where the real test of food comes. The next morning I woke up and sliced the remaining pork chop nice and thick, heated up a frying pan added butter, a dash of kosher salt, whipped eggs and the chop, I cooked it all together until the eggs were just about to not be runny, I added a tbsp. of water to the bottom of the pan took my fork and scraped out the last of the reduction and stirred it through the eggs once, waited a minute until everything was fluffy and firm, platted it and had a nice lemon drop and hash brown on the side. The pork chop was still perfect as was the ribbon of reduction through my eggs. I highly recommend this place and make sure you take your leftovers.

This place is the bomb... they hit a home run EVERY TIME. Wine and appetizers? Perfect. Full dinner? Done deal. If the beef bourginon were a rock star my wife would throw her panties on the stage. Not an awesome meal for Gig Harbor .. an awesome meal PERIOD. The owner/chef and staff are all amazing. Go there immediately.

Went in for dinner the other night with a small group. I wasn't very hungry so just had the clams & mussels and a salad. I have to say, it was adequate, but not great. Everyone else raved about their meal though so I think I should have gone with a main course. Service was ok, but for the price you're paying I would expect better. Just a little disinterested. It's pretty much your only fine dining option in the Harbor though so I'll probably be back.

We enjoyed Thankgiving so much this year - no shopping, cooking or cleaning - Brix 25 did all the work! This was our first time here and we were not disappointed. We were met with a welcoming smile from the hostess and prompt seating. Our servers were friendly, helpful and efficient. Our food was wonderful. The portions were just right and being welcoomed with a glass of bubbly and bread and flavored butters was a treat. We had delicicious salads, prime rib cooked perfectly, and the day's special turkey dinner. After dinner we had espresso and dessert - pumpkin pie with cinnamon whipped cream and tiramisu. Desserts weren't as flavorful or special as our dinner entrees, but attractively served nonetheless. The pie crust was not buttery or flakey and the cranberry soup it was floating in was unnecessary. The tiramisu is one of our favorite desserts, but this one at Brix was not something we'd order again. We will definitely return to enjoy other appetizers, salads, entrees and wine. Let's hope we get the same terrific waitress. This is a lovely restaurant - one of the best in the area.

Best restaurant we've found on the Kitsap Peninsula. I had prosciutto wrapped sturgeon that was lovely. My husband had a steak. We were both impressed with the meal and the service. Also, you usually don't expect an upscale restaurant to be so accommodating to children. Brix earned my gratitude by welcoming our little one with an immediate fruit snack, bread and a coloring book with crayons. Bravo. We'll be back!

Dinner with my husband, they sat us next to a wall in a tiny table. We saw the server once to order our meal then never saw her again. Lots of water servers and people to take away empty plates but no sign of the server. Had one glass of wine each both waited with empty glasses with no server offer to request a refill. My pasta was raw but the server never showed up to as us how our dinner was so I was unable to return it (a featured meal) .We had told her, during her one and only visit, that we wanted dessert but we never saw her again to order it. We left and asked for the bill at the cash register as we could not get someones attention to bring the check. We will not be going back. We told them this when we went to the cash register to request our check. Then the server came up, from the bar area, and said she had been side tracked at the bar. Fairly expensive with zero ambiance, zero service and just ok food. The wine was good.

This is hands down the BEST restaurant I have been to. Period. And I have lived in lots of other foodie places to boot. They greet you with a delicious glass of complimentary champagne, and you are usually greeted by the owner. Their food is amazing. I highly recommend the pear cambozola bruschetta and beef bourgenon . It is amazing and the best I have ever had. They have an amazing wine selection and friendly staff. Love the cozy relaxed atmosphere too. We love this place, and come here quite a bit. You won't be disappointed. The prices are very reasonable, and more than worth it. We haven't had anything we didn't like on the menu. They are GREAT!

I recently shared a memorable, delicious meal here with two friends. It was our first time in. They greeted us with champagne and delicious appetizers (I shared another reviewer's rave of the grilled romaine salad -- it was literally perfect, in my book). The chocolate creme brulee was a masterpiece. The chef and server both went out of their way to accommodate my friend who chose the wrong entree. Server was surprisingly knowledgeable about wines as well, and the wine offerings were great.

Biggest reason for the 3 stars was that it took 3 hours for dinner. We each had an appetizer and dinner with a couple of cocktails but took our dessert to go. The meal was good overall. I didn't like there creative butter with beets and horseradish blended in that came with the bread about 30 minutes in. The crab cake was disappointing with a weird pickled onions that came with and couldn't be avoided. The flat iron meal was nice, cooked as request and tasty. The pork dish my husband ordered was over cooked but his dessert (the profiteroles) was wonderful. My dessert was the vanilla cheesecake and I was really underwhelmed, it had a weird animal fat taste to it. Overall not my favorite meal and the worst part is service was REALLY slow. Next time I am in Gig Harbor I will try another restaurant.

Just returned from a 3 appetizer dinner at Brix and was reminded how much I love this restaurant. It is the only really fine food in the Harbor. My husband and I each had three appetizers tonight ( all half price at happy hour) and all were excellent. Between us, we had the grilled romaine salad, iceberg wedge. ahi poke ( outstanding), lamb meatballs, and 2 servings of the mussell/clam appetizer. It was a fabulous Sunday evening date ... I highly recommend. ( the Green House restaurant is definitely more hip/busy/happening, with better people watching, but if want good food and more quiet atmosphere, Brix is much better. )

Oh man. The steaks served here are like buttah. So delicious. The pairings are fabulous as well. The cheese plate is plate-lickable. I have never been disappointed, or disappointed an out-of-towner with dinner at brix. Meredyth is amazing, as are all of their servers. Definitely recommend this place for anniversaries and special occasions. Better than Pac Grill or Stanley & Seaforts.

It's actually brix 25 followed by a degree sign. It stands to the amount that light is bent when going through wine that has the right sugar content, implying they know something about wines - and the do! Wine Spectator was correct in picking them as one of the best restaurants in the northwest for local wines. They had an incredible selection of local wines - extremely impressive. Better yet, on Wed. they have 50% discount on the cheap stuff (under $60) and 25% discount on the rest. You couldn't go wrong. And they actually do have good wine in the northwest - that global warming has done some good after all. And the food was great - some very tasty appetizers: fruit bruschetta, scallops, lobster cakes and one more i can't remember, except that it was delicious. The salads were very well done (even the house salad) and the entrees were very good (not spectacular, but excellent.) i had the lamb shanks, which had a very tasty sauce with them. The chicken was great, the fillet was excellent. Only the raviolis left a little to be desired. the desserts were tasty too, I shared a fancy banana split (with melted and caramelized toppings.) The chocolate cake was good. The had creme brulee, but it was mint flavored - it's so hard to find a pastry chef that doesn't want to show off with their special brulee recipe. We like the plain vanilla stuff the best. The server was very good. you might want to decide on the wines yourself, we found the written recommendations to be excellent but the waiter's taste and recommendations didn't match ours. However, at 50% off, we could afford to experiment!! An excellent meal was had by all, we will be going back again.

I went there for the New Year's Eve dinner. The night didn't start great considering I picked their price fix menu with wine pairings from other restaurants in the area, and when we arrived, it was different from what was on the website. The price fix menu was a three course meal which consisted of fried dumplings stuffed with beer braised short ribs and chorizo, a caesar salad and then a steak. The dumplings were good, but had a sweet chili sauce. Since this was paired with a frizzane it was overly sweet on the palate, and didn't really match the rest of the meal. The caesar salad was grilled and paired with a deep and smokey red that paired well with the smokiness of the salad. The problem was exactly what you would think of with a grilled salad...wilted lettuce. They could have easily achieved the desired smoked taste with a smoked anchovy or smoked parmigiana. The steak course was served with a Cab and was a perfect pairing, but how can you go wrong with that? The only issue was that the steak was unevenly seasoned and unevenly cooked (asked for mid-rare and most was, but part was medium). Here is the thing, the meal was decent, but somewhat ill-conceived and not paired well with wines. It is decent, but when you want to drop over $150 on a meal (most of the time it is reasonably priced, but this was a meal with wine pairings for two people), you expect a lot more.

A truly wonderful restaurant. The service, food, and wine are all superb! Above par by all means! The rissotto w/duck was delectable and the desserts were mouth-watering (lavender creme brulee and chocolate gateau). My favorite restaurant in Kitsap county! Oh, and go on a Wednesday for half off bottle of wines! They introduced me to my favorite wine, Eroica Riesling by Chateau Ste.Michelle. Absolutely divine.

I held the rehearsal dinner for my wedding at Brix 25, and it was amazing. I worked with Daniel starting probably 6 months before the dinner. He was very patient in answering all of my questions and making sure the menu was what we wanted. He went above and beyond to ensure there was plain chicken (not apart of the menu) for my super-picky friend who only eats plain chicken. He even specially folded all of the napkins and personalized the menu for us to give a little something extra! Everybody raved about how excellent the food and service were. I highly recommend Brix, and be sure to ask for Daniel! Thank you for such a great experience!

I've never written a review in my life, however, just walked in the door from Brix 25 and felt compelled. My husband and I went here for our anniversary. It was nice and quiet - for about ten minutes. On the good side -their signature beef bourg was excellant and the bread served with mustard butter was good. Our starter was lamb meatballs. They were served as a sushi dish instead of a cooked dish - raw and lukewarm. The 'mixed' green salad had zero dressing and only green leaves were served - nothing else. When my husband ordered a second glass of wine the gal came over and served the last bit of wine in a bottle and it only filled a quarter of the glass. When he inquired about it her response was 'it does seem a little low". (unreal)!!! The real kicker was we were the only ones in the restaurant for the first ten minutes. Of all the other tables to choose from, they sat another party right next to our table. Needless to say it ruined the entire experience. Once the bill was paid we expected someone to at least come by to ask how everything was. No one said anything. We won't be going back. Good luck for all who do.

This is a chef-owned restaurant, and it shows. The food is sourced locally and seasonally, really well-prepared, and oh so good. The little touches then add an element of hospitality that makes it 5 stars for me. Chef-inspired paella, rack of lamb with lavender mashed potatoes, cassoulet and beef bourguignon are just a few of the dishes that go with the excellent wine list. Wines are half-priced on Wednesdays, BTW. Don't miss this place if you are in Gig Harbor; worth a drive if you're not!

Great mood-lit atmosphere, feels kind of like a home. Service was wonderful. Food was flavorful and well presented. Prices fair. Good wine selection, even by the glass, and they offer 2oz pours of all by-the-glass wines.

Jesse S. It is disappointing to see that you did not have a good experience on your visit. I have been in your shoes before and have been frustrated needless to say. I can say with true honesty that I haven't had that experience at Brix. I have ordered items in the past (very few) that didn't turn out "right" and because the wait staff is very attentive they noticed there might be a problem and fixed it without hesitation. My wife and I love this restaurant and would recomend it to anyone, EVEN my worst enemy. One again Jesse I'm sorry to hear about your visit, but if you are a foodie like I am, when my first visit to a restaurant is less than memorable, I always give it one more try. 9 times out of 10 the first visit was a fluke. I know your visit was.

Brix 25 is by far one the best restaurant's in Washington State! The meal and the ambiance is amazing. The service is out of this world. I've never been so impressed by the way a restaurant is ran in my entire life. I can not say enough great things about the menu. I've tried almost all of the entrees and have never been anything but completely satisfied with the taste and presentation. It is a one of a kind experience! I recommend Brix 25 to everyone I know.

The pear and cambozola bruschetta is absolutely delicious. The pear is caramelized to perfection and the pairing of the cheese is exquisite. The spicy Thai curry mussels and signature beouf bourguignon are my favorite dishes. The beef is fork tender and slow cooked in a rich sauce. The mussels dish contains almost too many mussels for one person to eat! The service is exceptional. The complimentary glass of champagne is a nice touch. The outdoor seating is refreshing on a nice summer day, and the indoor seating offers a more intimate ambiance.
